Every time we bake and decorate cakes, we learn new things--the ingredients, the techniques, the clients. I would like to keep track of these lessons so that I would not forget. And hey, maybe it can help some other baker-decorator!
Quintbelles started with one belle--me! Taking lessons, reading books and lots and lots of practice, I started baking and decorating cakes part time with orders coming from friends and family. As cake orders got bigger and taller, I realized I needed help and recruited my two younger sisters to help. My two other sisters started helping too-- each of us having specific functions. While not everyone took formal lessons, we hold "seminars" and teach each other things we do best. This blog will chronicle our experiences (and trials--hopefully not too many)!
